Footpath Construction Project, erosion control

Whirlow Farm Disabled Footpath Project

Consolid's soil stabilisation system was used to create a disabled footpath at the Whirlow Hall Farm, Sheffield.

Whirlow Hall Farm is a charitable farm which takes disabled, disadvantaged and underprivileged children and gives them the experience of staying on a farm, meeting and interacting with farm animals.

They held an open day arranged to show off their fantastic new paths and facilities, see picture. The path was approximately 1000 metres in length and provides wheelchair access around the farm.

Construction was carried out by Environmental Ground Stabilisation Ltd using the Consolid Soil Stabilisation System. The construction of the 1000m path took approximately one week. EGS used some imported clay material and drainage was added to keep water off the track itself.
